The three-day SmartNation AI hackathon kicked off today!

The three-day SmartNation AI hackathon kicked off today! Over 120 participants set out to tackle three challenges facing the federal administration. By focusing on digitization and AI in particular, they hope to find innovative solutions.

Participants work in teams on challenges covering justice, healthcare and parliamentary issues. They are supported by coaches working for leading AI companies or part of the AI4Belgium network. Together, they want to show that innovation and new technologies such as AI can benefit citizens, while paying particular attention to ethical issues.
