Deze opleiding is breed opgevat en behandelt de belangrijkste aspecten van vergaring, beheer, analyse en presentatie van data. Zo krijg je een totaalinzicht dat je beter in staat zal stellen om jouw Big Data efficiënt aan te wenden ten voordele van jouw onderneming. De aangeleerde technische inzichten worden aangevuld met een degelijk basisinzicht in de Europese General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) dat in het bijzonder het juridisch kader vastlegt voor het aanwenden van Big Data. De opleiding is dusdanig opgevat dat deze toegankelijk is voor iedereen die ietwat vertrouwd is met informatica.
Symposium van Zorgnet-Icuro over big data in de gezondheidszorg
Ziekenhuizen en andere zorgverstrekkers beheren grote hoeveelheden gegevens van hun patiënten. Die gegevens bevatten potentieel een schat aan informatie. Maar mogen die gegevens zomaar gebruikt worden voor (secundair) onderzoek? Zorgnet-Icuro boog zich over dit thema, bracht de randvoorwaarden in kaart en lanceert het voorstel voor een big data onderzoeksplatform vanuit een samenwerking tussen verschillende zorgactoren.
The art of formulating a data science task
The goal of this session is to offer an overview of data science and its opportunities for innovation from an industrial point of view. By means of actual cases from current data innovation projects in several domains, the iterative and creative path from business understanding to data exploitation will be described by means of the different steps in the data science workflow. Particular attention will be given to the kind of challenges that can be tackled, and the data and skills that you need to have available in order to realise those challenges. Furthermore, some common beliefs about data analytics as a commodity are debunked.

He is the president and sysadmin of the gozdata association, that provides the gozmail service, built from free software.

Olivier de Wasseige: Licencié et maître en informatique (Université de Namur), Olivier de Wasseige passe toute sa carrière dans le secteur informatique, notamment chez IBM. En 1999, il crée sa propre société spécialisée dans le Web, ainsi que le fonds Internet Attitude en 2010, qui investit dans des start-up du secteur de l’Internet. Coach au VentureLab, un incubateur pour étudiants-entre-preneurs, il enseigne également à l’UCL et dans diverses Hautes Ecoles. En 2016, il fait partie du Conseil wallon du Numérique et prend, un an plus tard la tête de l’Union Wallonne des Entreprises. C’est un spécialiste du numérique, des PME et des startups.

Henri Verdier est membre du conseil scientifique de l’Institut Mines-Télécom, ainsi que du comité de prospective de l’ARCEP et du comité de prospective de la CNIL. Le 19 septembre 2014, il est nommé Administrateur Général des Données par le gouvernement Français. Un an plus tard, le 23 septembre 2015, Henri Verdier est nommé, en Conseil des ministres, directeur interministériel du numérique et du système d’information et de communication de l’État (DINSIC). Le 15 novembre 2018 il est nommé en Conseil des Ministres Ambassadeur pour le Numérique.

Bernard Benhamou est secrétaire général de l’Institut de la Souveraineté Numérique (ISN). Il est aussi enseignant sur la gouvernance de l’Internet à l’Université Panthéon Sorbonne. Il a exercé les fonctions de délégué interministériel aux usages de l’Internet auprès du ministère de la Recherche et du ministère de l’Économie numérique. Il a coordonné la première conférence ministérielle européenne sur l’Internet des objets lors de la Présidence Française de l’Union européenne de 2008. Il a été le conseiller de la Délégation Française au Sommet des Nations unies sur la Société de l’Information. Il a aussi créé les premières conférences sur l’impact des technologies sur les administrations à l’Ena et à Sciences-Po en 1999.
